Postdoc Fellowship in Neuroscience
Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia has a postdoctoral fellowship position available immediately for an individual with an interest in examining the role of astrocyte functions such as glutamate transport in animal models of spinal cord injury (SCI) and the neurodegenerative disorder, ALS. The candidate should also have an interest in stem cell biology and gene therapy, both for understanding disease etiology and developing therapeutics via strategies such as transplantation.
Requirements: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related discipline (or M.D. with extensive Neuroscience research experience), 0-3 years of post-doctoral experience, a strong publication record, written and spoken English proficiency, and importantly a willingness to work collaboratively in an extremely friendly environment.
